How to Protect Yourself Against EMF Radiation
You’ve probably heard the debate about whether or not cell phones and other electric devices can cause brain tumors, cancer, and all kinds of other health issues. And you’ve probably also been assured that they’re perfectly safe. But are they? And if not, can you protect yourself against the EMF radiation that they emit?
The answer isn’t simple. There’s been relatively little long-term research, and what has been done is either inconclusive or stands in direct opposition of each other. In other words, there is evidence that EMF radiation from electronics and appliances can hurt you, so the best thing that you can do is take proactive steps to educate yourself and keep yourself, and your loved ones safe.
What is EMF Radiation?
EMF stands for electro-magnetic field. It’s both naturally-occurring and man-made. Scientifically, an EFM is made up of an electric field and a magnetic field that are combined perpendicular to each other and travel in invisible waves. Everything in nature has an electro-magnetic signature. Think of the pull of the moon, the workings of a compass, or the electrical impulses in your brain. It’s everywhere, and everything leaks – or radiates – at least a little bit of that energy just by possessing it.
Here’s where things get a bit complicated, though. In 1951, a scientist by the name of Winfried Otto Schumann came to the brilliant conclusion that the Earth had a measurable frequency – 7,83Hz. At the time, he didn’t realize quite how important this revelation was.
Thirty years earlier, another scientist by the name of Hans Berger was the first person to actually record the EMF of the human brain using an electroencephalograph that he created He called them Alpha waves, and in a weird twist of fate, a fellow of his came upon Schumann’s discovery. Berger picked up Schumann’s research and came up with an astounding conclusion.
He realizes that our bodies run on a certain frequency and so does the Earth. As a matter of fact, the human EMF is the same as the Earth’s. In other words, we were built to be perfectly in tune with our planet. This harmony is a huge part of what keeps us healthy and in balance. Our EMF radiation is the same as everything on the planet and thus benign.
Sources of Man-Made EMF Radiation
Man-made electronics emit different levels of EMF radiation, and that’s where the controversy comes in. There’s a huge concern – and for good reason – that the different EMF radiation puts our bodies out of balance and creates an environment in which disease can flourish.
In the technological age that we live in, man-made EMF radiation is all around us. It comes from electric lines, TVs, microwaves, cell phones, tablets, computers – it’s inescapable and can occur near an electrical current or when atoms absorb other types of energy. In this case, they can actually release another EMF field. An example of this is when a plant extracts energy from sunshine to convert carbon dioxide into glucose.
In other words, if there’s electricity, there can be EMF radiation.
The question, and the source of debate, is whether or not these extra sources of EMF radiation are safe. In the case of a plant, then yes, because it’s natural, but in the cases of an X-ray or your cell phone? Maybe not.
There are levels that are considered safe because most research says that it is, but that seems like a call that each person should make, because there’s also research that says that no frequency that isn’t natural is safe.
The Two Types of EMF
In general, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences divides EMF radiation into two groups: low frequency, non-ionizing EMF radiation and ionizing medium and high frequency EMF radiation.
Low frequency EMF radiation have a frequency that’s lower than visible light and are non-iodizing radiation. Some examples are computers, visible light, cell phones, electric lines, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and MRIs.
High frequency EMF radiation sources have frequencies higher than visible light and emit iodizing radiation. These include ultraviolet light, x-rays, and Gamma rays. We don’t have to worry about Gamma rays on a daily basis because they’re found mostly in space. The sun emits them, but they don’t make their way to Earth, according to most sources.
UV light, on the other hand, is definitely found in our environment. It’s in sunshine – it’s one of the sources of sunburn. It’s also made by man and is found in sources such as UV lamps (black lights and UV lights often used to cure gel fingernails, for example) and mercury lamps. Arc welders emit it, too.
Low-frequency EMF radiation is questionable, but high frequency EMF has been proven to be dangerous. That’s why you have to wear the vests when you have x-rays. Ionizing EMF radiation has been definitively linked to such conditions as cancer.
How Does EMF Radiation Hurt Us?
We’ve already determined that we’re in sync with the Earth’s EMF. Our bodies run on electricity. Our brains have electro-magnetic pulses, and so does the heart. That’s why it can be restarted with an electric defibrillator. Other parts of our bodies, such as liver enzymes, operate on electrical conductivity. For that matter, our bodies convert vitamin D from UV light in sunshine. In short, we run on EMF.
The problem is that we run on a certain frequency, and those other frequencies are bad for us and can throw our natural frequency off balance. Some diseases and conditions that have been linked to EMF radiation include:
- Cancer
- Cardiovascular disease
- Depression
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Brain tumors
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Headaches
The Environmental Health Trust warns us of how dangerous electromagnetic radiation is and says that it adds to our body’s toxic burden. They point to research that shows that the blood/brain barrier – the protective barrier in the brain – can be damaged by wireless EMF radiation. That includes Wi-Fi. As a matter of fact, Wi-Fi’s frequency is 2.4 GHz, the same frequency as a microwave.
How to Reduce EMF Radiation
Though we’re practically bathing in EMF radiation at all times, there are some steps that you can take to reduce exposure and thus help maintain a healthy frequency.
- Don’t carry your cell phone on your body. You’ve likely noticed that when you’re using your GPS or you’ve been using it a lot, it gets hot. That’s because it’s working harder and thus producing more radiation. Also, use speakerphone instead of Bluetooth.
- Maintain your microwave and stay away when it’s running. They’re designed so that they only produce EMF when the door’s closed and it’s running, but if it’s old and the seals aren’t great, it could seep out. This is bad, because our bodies absorb that, and it causes free radicals that cause everything from cancer to aging in our tissues.
- Don’t use your laptop on your lap.
- Turn off Wi-Fi when it’s not in use.
- If you live near power lines, use a gauss meter to measure the EMF radiation. Try not to move into a house that runs directly under power lines.
- Use a quality, precise Schumann resonance generator that provides both passive and active, omni-directional protection.
What is a Resonance Generator?
One of the best ways to reduce the damaging effects of man-made, harmful EMF radiation is to use a resonance generator such as the Vital Protect (find more information here) that’s set to the Schumann frequency.
Some research shows that if we have this balancing frequency near us, then our brains may become immune to the harmful radiation around us. This isn’t hype – NASA actually uses Schumann resonance generators on the space shuttles because astronauts were coming home sick. This isn’t something that they would do without significant research to back it up.
If your body isn’t in balance, it can’t be healthy. And it can’t be in balance if it’s constantly exposed to harmful EMF radiation. Your body is made to heal itself, but it can only fight off so many dangers at once, and it can only fight for so long before damage occurs. A Schumann resonance generator takes that load off of your body so that it can focus on fighting off other threats to your health.
Give your body a break! Follow the tips above, and install a good resonance generator. Your brain, and the rest of your body, will thank you!
